Is ShareBold free to use?

Yes. ShareBold is 100% free for everyday use. You can upload and download files without paying anything and without creating an account. We offer a Pro plan for heavy users who want bigger uploads and longer storage, but the core features will always remain free.

Do I need an account to send or download files?

No. You do not need to register, enter an email, or make a password. Just open ShareBold in your browser, pick a file, and get your link. Anyone who has the link can download the file right away.

What is the file size limit on the free plan?

Free users can upload files up to 500MB each. This is plenty of space for hundreds of photos, long PDF reports, full music albums, and mobile app builds. Pro users can upload files up to 2GB each.

What file types can I upload?

You can upload any file type you want. We support images (JPG, PNG, HEIC, RAW), videos (MP4, MOV, MKV), documents (PDF, DOCX, XLSX), archives (ZIP, RAR, 7Z), audio files (MP3, WAV, FLAC), and mobile apps (APK, IPA).

How long do my files stay active?

You choose the expiration timer when you upload. You can set your link to expire in twenty-four hours, three days, or seven days. When the timer runs out, our cleaner erases the file for good.

Can anyone else see my files?

No. Your files are not indexed in public search engines, and there is no public list of files on ShareBold. Only people who have your exact link or 4-digit code can find your download page.

How does the secret PIN code work?

When you upload a file, you can optionally turn on PIN protection and set a 4-digit code. When someone opens your download page, they must enter the exact PIN code before the download button unlocks. This gives you extra safety for private files.

Can I delete a file before the timer ends?

Yes. You can delete any active upload right away. Open your history page on the same browser you used to upload, find the file in your list, and tap the delete button. The link will stop working instantly.

Why is my upload moving slowly?

Upload speeds depend on your internet connection. If you are on public Wi-Fi or mobile data, your speed may be lower. Try switching to a faster connection for big files.

Can I upload more than one file at a time?

Yes. You can drag and drop a whole folder or select multiple files. ShareBold bundles them into a clean zip archive so your recipient gets everything in one neat package.

What happens if my battery dies during an upload?

If your device turns off, the upload stops. Simply plug in your device, reopen ShareBold, and upload the file again. It only takes a few seconds.

How do teams share assets securely?

Teams can create password-protected or PIN-locked share links with custom expiry timers. Once a link expires, all files are permanently purged from cloud storage disks to protect your proprietary project data.

Can I share files across different operating systems?

Yes. ShareBold works smoothly in any standard web browser across Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, and Android without requiring third-party software, extensions, or recipient accounts.

Is there any bandwidth throttle or countdown timer on downloads?

No. Senders and recipients receive full-speed, direct CDN downloads without artificial throttling, forced captcha gates, or deceptive countdown timers.

How much does ShareBold Pro cost?

Can I cancel my subscription anytime?

Yes. You can cancel your subscription at any time with a single click from your profile settings. You will continue to have full Pro access until your current billing period ends.
